We have a great group of heifers and steers up for auction this year. Check them out below!
If you’re looking for your next competitive show heifer prospect, look no further! Lot 1 is just fun to look at. This calf is out of a bred heifer we purchased from Pratt Show Cattle this past fall. This gal is super neat fronted and draws back to a big bold and soft middle, while tying it together with a square, level hip. Watch her move and she’s as sound as any you’ll find. Not only should she find success in the ring, but I’d be just as excited for her career as a future show heifer generator. Experienced showman preferred.
When you look at the offering of heifers this year, you’ll clearly see this is the biggest bodied female with a tremendous amount of rib shape. She is deep and stout featured. She has a massive hip and hind leg. She’s opened up and her stoutness is sure impressive! This heifer is broody and sound footed. She is sure to be a contender in the show ring, but with the top shape she has, her real future is being a show steer maker. She is the cow power heifer of the sale!
Call her the show heifer deluxe! Lot 3 is fresh haired, stout featured, and big ribbed. She is the full sib to the high selling steer in last year’s sale that went on to find numerous backdrops for Maya Van Dyke. Lot 3’s power combined with a front-end design like hers, makes her hard to miss. Even better, she’s still built right. Set her into motion and she’s as sound as it gets. Equipped with power, hair, color, and build, she’ll garner the kind of attention she deserves. A more experienced showman is preferred.
This ultra complete, big piped and perfectly balanced heifer is the half-sister to “Rolex”, who was bought by Maya Van Dyke in last year’s sale, and who several of you were kicking yourselves for not buying. “Rolex” took home a piece of the Maine division at nearly every jackpot show this season and she was most recently named the Reserve Supreme FFA Female at the Oregon State Fair. Over 10 trips to the backdrop this season! If that’s not enough, Lot 4’s mother, Rain, was purchased by the Murray family during the ’21 sale and went on to win numerous shows for Kambrie. In total, this lineage has won more than 20 shows – more than any cow family offered through the Legends of the Fall Sale. Don’t miss the opportunity to redeem yourself and get in on the half sib to “Rolex”. We think this April born heifer is even better than her sister!
The Neuschwander family brings us yet another awesome female! If you’ve been paying attention to the heifers from their program the past few years, then you know this little lady is destined for the backdrop! If you draw back to two heifers from prior sales, Potato, purchased by the Bradley family, & CoCo, purchased by the Van Dyke’s, they have been pictured close to 20 times. So, if you’re looking for an elite show heifer, or just to upgrade your program with a heifer who will add that show steer generating power, Lot 5 is your gal! She’s got that maternal power to pass on for generations. Sired by 80 Proof, she’s sure to build stoutness and style into a herd.
“KING OF THE VALLEY” Predictability is built into this one. King comes to us out of our most proven show steer generator, Queen, and he is sired by the great County O. Study this steer’s picture and video - it is hard to find a full blood Simmi steer that’s built like this one. He’s extremely arrogant in the way he carries himself and is as stout and heavy muscled as you can make one. For anyone looking to make a run at a Junior Nationals, we think he’s as good as any out there. King is a very kind steer, but he is timid. He just needs to find his person and that person preferably needs to be a more experienced showman.
Another tremendous peach-colored calf brought to us by Grace Cattle. His mother raised several that have made the sale, including his FULL sib from last years’ sale, who ended up 3rd overall at the Benton-Franklin County Fair in 2025. This steer is puppy dog broke and would quickly become any beginner’s best friend but is also high quality enough to satisfy even the most experienced showman. With his spring of rib and depth of body he should be one that is easy to feed and fun to show. He is SO sound and flexible off both ends, and he will stay sound no matter his weight.
HOLY SMOKESHOW! This IGWT x Mesa steer is extremely good haired and has as much true width in his hip and pinset as any in the sale. He is an exceptionally square made calf that has that sleek front end and show steer silhouette that we all crave. His future showring accolades sure remind us of the steer from Neuschwanders that sold iin the ’23 sale and went on to win the ’24 Linn County Fair. He should certainly land on the top of your “like” list! More experienced showman preferred.
Take a look here at this smoke calf! Many have tried to make a smoke baldy, but few have succeeded in doing so, and even fewer have made one this good! This April calf is sired by Somethin’ Else and out of our IGWT cow, Oakley. This one’s fun to study. He’s big ribbed, tall fronted, and powerful, with an excellent topline and hind hip. With all that hair, his cool color, and being impeccably built, he’s bound to catch the judge’s eye. Best part? He’s first year broke and ready to go!
Patch has a perfectly placed heart shaped patch on his head and if you can hold a pair of clippers and get this one’s big hair right, you will be able to reap some serious rewards in the show ring. This is a big muscled, square built steer that comes ultra intriguing in his look from the side. It wouldn’t be surprising if he catches a lot of attention on sale day and in the showring after.
Everyone loves a good brockle face and he’s as good as you’ll find! This is a big ribbed, easy feeding kind of a calf that has a bright future ahead. And with him being a half-brother to the ’24 Linn County Fair Supreme Champion Market Steer, winning is in his DNA. He comes with all the bells and whistles to make a judge turn his head. This steer also comes broke for a first-year showman. Get your bids in fast on this one as his quality and extra color will sure draw everyone’s attention.
If you’re looking for an honest, good feeding, practical, fat steer deluxe, then here’s your dude! He’s a full sibling to the black MAB/Hereford steer sold in last year’s sale purchased by the Bradley family. That steer had several jackpot show class wins and ended up in the top five at this year’s Benton County Fair. A little work on the Hereford hair, and you’ll have yourself a really nice show steer. He’s a steer that is sound, functional, and one that will be productive for you. Don’t hesitate to go in on this future fat steer who possesses such a practical body shape. This guy is as broke as it gets, and we like to see him go to a first-time exhibitor. Sired by the one and only (even though they made several clones) the original Man Amongst Boys!
Here’s one who’s ready to stand in front of the backdrop! It’s in his pedigree. This guy is a relation to the two great red (Ricky Bobby) steers sold in the past few sales. Last year’s steer purchased by the Murray family found numerous backdrops and he ended his career being named the Champion Heavyweight & Res. Supreme Champion Market Steer at the ’25 Linn County Fair. Without a doubt this shorthorn appearing calf comes with a massive level top, big hind leg, and is still attractive from the side. This steer is tremendously athletic and one that balances up as well as any of the cattle being offered. He’s good fronted, square in his design, and comes with the added extension to be competitive at jackpots and county fairs. This calf has good hair, cool markings, and is extremely sound. Another steer offered by Boyers and sired by another iconic show bull: As Good As It Gets.
This ET calf is one out of our famous Rachel Ruby donor, and if you like a good county fair meat and potatoes kind of steer who’s still going to be very competitive, then this one’s for you. He’s green, but when you study him, you’ll notice he has all the right pieces to compete. A little more time and feed, and this guy will be the real deal. His quality can take care of the rest, based on the characteristics he represents. This fella packs a ton of foot size and bone without sacrificing body. Sired by the great HIA show cattle sire, you can bid with confidence here!
JADE’S LEGACY WRAPPED IN BLACK! Here’s the special steer
offering of the sale. This calf is out of a cow we call Jade. Jade is an
I-80 x Blue Chip, and she was offered as a special donation heifer lot
in the 2021 LOTF Sale.
Colson Cattle sold half interest of her for $7500 to a group of donors
with the intent of her future calves being sold where 50% of the sale
goes to support JDRF, REAL Oregon, and LBCC Livestock Judging.
When you study this steer, he is one that has a tremendous look.
This stud is made a little different than some. Thick made, stout
boned, sound and fluid, cool fronted, and good hair all describe this
one. He is worth the drive to come look at him. We have as much
confidence in this steer through fall jackpots and next summer as
any. This is your chance to buy a great show steer where half the
money is donated back to three wonderful organizations. Plus you
will get a tax benefit to boot! The steer is being offered by Colson
Cattle, Boshart Trucking, Grace Cattle, Arcuri Ranches, Berger Bros,
Red Shed Vineyard, Animal Health Solutions, Full Ahead Transport,
Phelan Enterprises, Purina Animal Nutrition and Ostara Livestock
Services.
We call him Mater because he’s built like a truck! This purebred Simmental is the real deal! Lot 16 is big bodied, heavy muscled, stout pinned, and big footed. Come on, who doesn’t love a blaze face that can blend that kind of power with a high-quality show steer look from the side? This fella is out of Gohr Maggie and Bet On Red. He is not only a tremendous prospect for jackpots shows or county fairs, but Simmental Jr Nationals or Midwest State Fairs to come. His half sister sold last year for $23,000. Trust us when we say this guy is the real deal!
Around the barn we refer to this calf as ‘Clay’. Clay will make the perfect market steer for anyone who’s looking for a nice project. He’s a competitive calf who is structurally sound, big topped, stout, and he has plenty of hair, giving him that extra show ring appeal. This steer has a tremendously soft middle and will be an easy feeding project. Don’t sleep on him!
Another showstopper out of the barns of Grace Cattle. This stud is a purebred Simmi out of a Broker/Relentless female that Grace Cattle purchased this past year from Shaake, and he was born to set the bar high! You can’t draw a steer much better than this one from the side! Square and level, long fronted, good boned and extremely sound. He is great haired and easy going. Take this one home, get him to a show, and it’s likely you’ll find yourself in front of a backdrop holding a banner!
Hope delivered the smoke, and he is bringing the fire! Mark is out of a cow we call Hope and Duel Icon. He’s as long spined, huge topped, and is as massively hipped as any. This smoke calf loves to eat, and he looks like one you could push all winter and show up at the county or state fair weighing 1475 and he’d be a beast! Big piped and sure footed, this sweet boy is a first-year kid deluxe!
